Poor handle locks

Handle lock broke after 5 months. This one replaced my original that had locks that did not work. When contacting Fiskars the stated that since the original has been already replaced by Fiskars the are falsely stating their warranty that the unit THEY replaced cannot be replaced again. NOT STATED IN THEIR WARRANTY

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it is to have an issue with a tool, especially after it has already been replaced once. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects, but when a product has previously been replaced, we’re not always able to offer an additional replacement — especially if we can’t confirm whether the issue resulted from a defect or from normal wear, use conditions, or external factors.

Disappointing.

Branches slide out from between the blades unless the handles are open as wide as possible, which makes it difficult to cut anything at all and impossible when the handles are extended. If you had the previous version of this extendanle trimmer, you're probably going to hate these.
