Had to make a mounting bracket. Seal up all the holes so water can't get in.

Purchased this solar panel, along with a Treeline 12V battery and a Field & Stream 200lb spin feeder from TS. When installing the Solar Panel, I made a couple of mistakes. First I drilled a hole for the cable thru the feeder right next to the battery box which is inside of the feeder barrel. The cable has two clamps, one for inside and one for outside the feeder, which tighten down on the cable with a very small allen wrench. I was standing on a step stool trying to reach into the barrel to tighten the clamp. After dropping the allen wrench 3 times into the barrel, and each time the wrench ending up in the spinner, and each time having to engage the spinner to sling out the allen wrench; I finally just tilted the feeder over so I could use both hands. I never got the clamps tight enough, so I just ended up using duct tape to hole the clamps in place and plug the hole. Other than that hiccup, installation was a breeze. Mounted the panel on the side of the barrel with two self-tapping sheet metal screws, plugged the cable wires into the feeder and battery harness; and immediately the feeder controller displayed the batter to be charging. It's been up and running for about 2 weeks and working fine. I don't know how much this has to do with the battery or the panel, but the feeder slings corn and protein out as far as 30' making for a 60' diameter of feeding area. I would recommend all 3 items in this package!

I originally bought an off-brand solar panel but it felt light weight and cheap, so I opted for the Field & Stream 6/12 volt solar panel instead, which is compact and durable. It was easy to mount and wired right up with the included hardware and attached spade connectors. I highly recommend this solar panel for your feeder.
