The Feit Electric 125 watt incandescent dimmable flood BR40 reflector heat lamp generates more warmth than a standard incandescent bulb. Heat lamps are commonly used wherever additional warmth is desired. Proper safety and care must be taken when using heat lamps including secure fixtures, preferably fixtures that include lens covers. Heat lamp is for indoor use only and cannot be exposed to moisture.
- Designed to operate at much higher temperatures than regular incandescent bulbs
- Ideal for general warming applications
- Use to heat small areas to prevent freezing of water pipes, car radiators and pumps
- Dimmable light
- Rated for up to 2,000 hours of life
- CAUTION: for use with heat resistant sockets only. Bulb must not be used outdoors or in areas where exposed to liquids or moisture as glass may shatter. Do not use bulb closer than 18 in. from surface of intended irradiation or near flammable materials. Should be used with fixture that include heat resistant glass lens.

Q: Is this bulb’s “light” output w/in the infrared frequency spectrum & IF so, whether it’s hi or low side?

- A: Hi! Per the vendor: • Because the lamp is clear it passes through some energy at the lower wavelengths in the visible spectrum and emits white light. • The filament in the lamp is designed to shift the output into the near-infra red spectrum (700 – 1000nm). • I do not know how much of the energy is in longer wavelengths (i.e. at what frequency does it drop off). Our equipment only measures in the visual spectrum.3 years agoHelpful?
