Not as much protection as hard plastic shell, but does what it was made to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this bump cap for so many reasons! For the couple weeks I’ve had it, it has been amazing! First, it’s functionality and design gets a 10/10. I wear a hat every single day of my life and switch hats most days, and often times more than one hat a day. With it being a bit brisk lately in the mornings I go to work wearing a beanie and it pops right in the beanie. When it warms up I switch out real quick to a ball cap, and it pops in those real quick. It comes with markings on it so you can trim it if you want for a person with a smaller head. Fortunately, it works perfect for my head and hats as-is. Second, the protection that it provides to my head is perfect. I had multiple brain surgeries this year, the wounds are all healed, but I still have to watch so I don’t bump my head. While I am still very cautious this has provided me with another level of comfort. I am always crawling under cars, trucks, and machinery on my back, and other precarious positions, and always seem to be in a hurry. Constantly rushing, I tend to smack my head all the time, even when being careful. I have bumped my head several times while wearing the bump cap and I can attest that it provides perfect protection! My scars are still super tender but when I knock my head wearing the bump cap I can hardly feel it. Third, the comfort level I would rate very highly as well. It took very little time to get used to the feeling of wearing it. After I adjusted the snaps on my hats so it fit inside, and so they weren’t too tight, it was perfect. In every hat I’ve worn it in, with minor adjustments it has worked perfect! All in all I would highly recommend this nice little addition for protection for any kind of workplace. It stays very concealed and nobody has even noticed I am constantly wearing it. The foam has been holding up very well for how much use I have put it through already, and constantly moving it from hat to hat. I will definitely be ordering more once I wear this one out!

I work outside all day everyday and this has came in handy a lot. I love how soft the product is on your head compared to a hard helmet. It also fits super amazingly inside the baseball cap that Ergodyne has in stock. I will definitely be buying another one when the time comes to replace this one.
