Equisul-SDT Oral Suspension (Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim) is indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in horses caused by susceptible strains of Streptococcus. It may also be used for the prevention of other respiratory and bacterial infections. This oral suspension is formulated for safe administration in equine patients and allows for flexible dosing to accommodate the specific therapeutic needs of individual horses. Available in 135 mL, 280 mL, 560 mL and 900 mL doses.

Special Precautions

Keep away from children and animals. Not for use in humans. For use in animals only. Consult a physician in case of accidental human exposure. Antimicrobial drugs including sulfonamides can cause mild to severe reactions in some individuals. Avoid direct contact of the product with the skin, eyes, mouth and clothing. Persons with a known sensitivity to sulfonamides or trimethoprims should avoid exposure to this product. If an allergic reaction occurs (eg skin rash, hives, difficulty breathing, facial swelling) seek medical attention. Possible side effects : Loose stool, colic or diarrhea.

Storage

Store at 59°F-86°F (15°C-30°C). Brief periods up to 104°F (40°C) are permitted. Protect from freezing.
