Put an end to the peskiest moles with the Oak Hill Unlimited Easy Mole Trap, the most effective mole control device and method available. Eliminate moles quickly and safely, without the use of harmful chemicals or baits, with this heavy-duty mole trap. When used properly, moles can be caught within 24 hours. And because it uses no toxins, it is safe for the environment. The easy mole trap eliminates moles rather than driving them to relocate and cause damage elsewhere. Because a population of 3-5 moles per acre is possible, we recommend at least one trap per quarter-acre for ultimate success. This easy, effective mole trap is powerful and should be used with caution.

Q: I'm in Florida. Soil all sand and the trap moves forward when I set it.

1 Answer
  • A: The manufacturer stated to loosen the frame screws to help the trap stay in alignment when setting. Or you could try to put supports (like wood shims or similar) under frame when setting, then remove supports and press down on the trap (soil must be loose enough to allow it to be pressed down while in set position).

Better Mole Trap

I needed help controlling these pests around my yard, which has only about 1/2 acre cleared. I determined where the moles were entering my place from 2 bordering lots, north and east of my property lines. I was excited to receive delivery of my EMT and set it up same day. After several days of catching NOTHING, I decided to write the manufacturer an email to discuss terms for a return/refund. They were very agreeable, but asked a few questions, including my technique, location, and for a description of the tunnels where I was setting up. They informed me of some valuable info that I wasn't aware of - concerning the habitual behavior of my enemy. Once I understood a few things, I altered my technique and suddenly became VERY successful catching moles using this trap. I only have one trap, but it has been my "go-to" weapon of choice for mole control, One of the tid bits I learned is the depth of the tunnel area where I was setting the trap was too shallow. The trap could not operate its jaws for lack of clearance. I now use a rebar rod to poke the tunnel I am going to setup in. If the depth is not sufficient for the trap jaws to be able to operate without bottoming out, don't waste your time - it will not work. Sometimes, not finding sufficient depth prevented me from trapping - and even forced me to patiently tolerate a little more damage - until I finally located an area of the tunnel system having sufficient depth. When I set up in such an area, showing evidence of recent activity, I have ALWAYS successfully scored a kill within hours of setting up. I don't leave the trap set at any one location more than a day or so if it has not trapped a mole as yet. This is a fast operator if it is set "right" - per instructions - and in the right place with respect to their activity. - a Very good trap.

Got the job done fast!

slightly tricky to set properly but caught my mole in less than 3hrs in the ground! No real clear instructions on how to release trapped mole so set trap with the mole between two logs then essentially re-set the trap to allow mole to drop out then tossed trap on ground to un-set it.

IT WORKS!!!

Forget the poisons, and forget all the hype about all the other ways to kill these critters and not just move them out of your yard to some other place. I've killed 5 moles in quick succession. All the other methods, (and I tried most of them) didn't work. Here's how I finally learned to streamline the process. I bought 3 traps, which came out to about 100.00 dollars, and I used all 3 in one area where they were burrowing their tunnels just under the surface. Once I caught one in that area, I moved all 3 traps to the next area, and so on. It works!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Even when loosened to the most sensitive setting, difficult to spring. Maybe it works with very large moles. Othwise, not worth it.

Haven't caught a mole yet with this. It is hard to get the plate to be flat. The mole tunneled under and around and never went off. The it poked its head out and BAM killed it with a shovel

Caught the mole overnight! Worked fabulously! The only issue is we had to adjust the sensitivity a few times as it kept popping up. Other than that, I’d recommend it to everyone.

Works great but better springs could be used.

These traps work but you need to set and place it correctly or it will not work. Take a stick and probe the mole run to locate a shallow part. Place the trap over the shallow section and set it correctly. There is a trigger plate that needs to be touching the ground lightly. When the mole is tunneling, it causes the dirt to lift and trigger the trap when they are below the trap. If one doesn't place or set it correctly, this is a useless trap. I gave it a 4 star the springs rusted and broke. These need to be brought in if you're going to water or it's going to rain. They could use better springs.

I am an 80 year old female. I caught a mole the first night. I followed the directions provided in the box. The only problem I had was getting the dead mole off the trap. I used two screw drivers to pry the scissor jaws open.

Most Excellant Mole Trap

I purchased this Mole Trap from TSC in 2022. I had a mole wreaking havoc in my yard, so I placed the trap following the directions and terminated the mole within two hours. I had another mole this spring, which I terminated within a day. This trap is built to last for years and works very well. It is not too tricky to set; place it then step down on the trap to set it. The next time the mole tries to pass through that section of tunnel will be his last.

Thank you for making this product!

Best mole trap out there on the market! I've been dealing with moles first in my front yard then in my back yard as well. I tried the solar powered stakes that buzz every 30 seconds for 2 years that only made them go nuts and run in circles. I tried putting poison down the holes to no avail. Then after 2 years I got frustrated and searched and searched also going by reviews. I decided to give this one a try, I even bought 2.. First month, nothing after trying several spots. Second month I watched several you tube videos only to find out that it's all about the right tunnel. Once I figured out their tunnels (the straighter the better) I have now caught 2 moles in 2 weeks! The trap itself is easy to set and you have to make sure the scissors are lined up with the tunnel just push it in the ground with your foot and step on the tunnel on both ends of the trap. Once the mole is caught it pops up to let you know. Releasing is a little tougher, I used a tree to put pressure on the springs to release them. You can't just stick it anywhere in the ground and expect results, it has to be a straight FRESH tunnel. IM THRILLED!

goodbye mole

Have used a plunge-type trap with little success. First time I used this trap, I got a mole. I then moved to another garden and it took two weeks, but I got another one. A little challenging to remove the victims, but an effective product. I had been chasing the second mole for over three months, with poisons, repellants, two of those useless mole buzzers, and two plunge-type traps.
