Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it to catch squirrels. I bought this three days ago. We've been having problems with squirrels chewing and ruining everything around the hose. I've already caught 4 squirrels in the last two days. The trip mechanism on mine is very sensitive. I see a lot of reviews that says their trip mechanism is not sensitive enough. This is not the case with mine. I tested it in the store before I bought it. Maybe after all the bad reviews, they maybe fixed the problem? I don't know, mine works just fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad deal I bought this a while back and hasn't worked at all. Animals walk all over the trigger and it doesn't release. I threw it away because I thought TSC wouldn't echange until I read other reviews.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Failures This thing won't catch a thing! I see squirrels go in and out, steal my bait, I am going to take it back! I wouldn't even give it a one star, but I had no choice! I can't get an answer on how to easily let the trap door open to release the animal, but at this point, it is a moot point because it won't catch anything, not even a cold!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk doesn't work This trap is a feeder and nothing more. The trigger is terrible and requires to much force that squirrels cannot produce. This is going back and I would suggest that Tractor Supply drop this brand since I haven't read a good review of their products

How much weight is needed to trigger the gate to shut? Could a small kitten?

Asked by: alyssa23418
The gate can be triggered to shut with a slight weight so if a small kitten stands on the trigger pad the gate will be shut.

How can I get a product manual? I need to adjust the sensitivity or return the unit. We had two squirrels all the way in the back of the trap and it still didn't shut.
