Stop rust in its tracks with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator Black. This paint-over-rust formula is the easiest way to stop rust and corrosion from forming and prevent existing rust from spreading. It seals metal parts and penetrates beneath the surface to encase rust while leaving behind a paintable surface. Rust Encapsulator can be used as a primer for a variety of topcoats, or left as-is if you prefer a low-gloss finish. The black color is ideal for chassis and undercarriage rust prevention. With heat resistance up to 400 degrees, you can even apply it to the engine bay. Using this automotive rust preventer is easy. Simply use a wire brush to remove loose rust, wipe with PRE Painting Prep to clean the surface and apply in brush or spray-on form.
