The DuraVent 6 in. Diameter 90 Degree Adjustable Elbow Double Wall completes the venting system when used with one of DuraVent's chimney products such as DuraTech, DuraPlus, or DuraPlus HTC. The adjustable elbow double-wall, air-insulated design reduces clearances to combustibles from 18 in. to 6 in., the closest clearance to a wall of any connector pipe. This elbow double wall improves stove performance by maintaining high flue gas temperatures for a strong, steady draft.

- A: Hello, thank you for your question. The elbow can be adjusted during installation to set the angle, but the joints are not designed to rotate independently once assembled and secured. - A: Hi Nevis! Thank you for your question. Duraplus requires either a support box or wall thimble installed as we enter the room with the stove. All our adapter fit to the support box/wall thimble. Suggest a 6DVL-ADT for best adapter or a more simplistic 6DVL-ADC is included in our kits and available to order separately. Without the box or thimble installed cold air could return thru pipe into room so everything is made to join to them.3 years agoHelpful?

- A: Our DVL Black stovepipe may be used indoors only on wood burning stoves. It should run from stove to ceiling or wall and then an insulated chimney such as the DuraPlus & DP Kits sold at TSS would travel to above the roofline.4 years agoHelpful?

Adjustable But Difficult to Achieve

Dura-Vent vents seem to be well made and this ELL is difficult to adjust. I’ve tried every which way to spin the sections and finally came up with a way to accomplish it. Having a double wall certainly adds to the difficulty.
I found that if you place the ELL (elbow) with one of the open ends down on a carpeted floor and clamping the lower end with your feet (soft sneakers will avoid scratching the exterior) and twisting the desired upper section with both hands, you can manage to spin it a little at a time. It does take a bit of strength to do so though, & enlisting some additional help may be necessary.

Hard to adjust

Ended up returning as we could not get them to adjust. Very difficult to work with. Ended up buying two 45s that thankfully worked. But were also hard to adjust.
