We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow them to become overweight. Typically, there’s no cause for concern for slow eaters as long as they are eating an appropriate amount and maintaining a healthy weight. Depending on the dog, they may prefer certain flavors over others. However, a change in eating habits could be the first indication that there is a medical condition, such as something causing pain in the mouth. We suggest contacting your veterinarian if your dog is not eating like you think they should be.
