I was excited when first finding this food. It seemed like an economical choice for my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Pup. She has a chicken allergy and it is very hard to find large breed puppy food that does not have chicken in it and is affordable. Unfortunately she had a hard time eating it, coughing up partially chewed food and making a huge mess every time she ate. I added water to it to help her get it down, but her stool was still very messy and smelly. When looking closer at the ingredients, I noticed it contains chicken fat. I am switching her back to the more expensive food that is truly free of chicken. She has already shown a great improvement in her ability to eat and the quality and consistency of her stool has improved significantly as well. If you are looking for a chicken free food for your pup, avoid this one.

Small by kibble, smells nice and my 8 month old, 80lb pup loves it!

I have a 19 month old mixed breed. We’ve been trying different dry dog foods to find the one she likes. This was by far the worst. She would not eat it unless very hungry and hand fed. The concerning part is she went straight to the water after eating and consumed a large bowl of water. High sodium count in the dry food? No other food caused this. We threw the bag of dog food away.
