I was excited when first finding this food. It seemed like an economical choice for my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Pup. She has a chicken allergy and it is very hard to find large breed puppy food that does not have chicken in it and is affordable. Unfortunately she had a hard time eating it, coughing up partially chewed food and making a huge mess every time she ate. I added water to it to help her get it down, but her stool was still very messy and smelly. When looking closer at the ingredients, I noticed it contains chicken fat. I am switching her back to the more expensive food that is truly free of chicken. She has already shown a great improvement in her ability to eat and the quality and consistency of her stool has improved significantly as well. If you are looking for a chicken free food for your pup, avoid this one.

From birth at breeder to 8 months now, my lab has grown strong, active, and healthy. Impressed by quality and effort put into recipe. I do supplement with carrots, egg, salmon oil, low-fat cottage, and non-fat yogurt (one only per day). Plan to stay on Diamond as adult dog.

It gave my dog diarrhea for almost a week
