I purchased this light because a winter storm was coming and should the lights go out I wanted a quick backup source of light. This filled the bill perfectly. When used in a dark room It completely Lights the room up. I also thought it would be great for doing jobs any time around the house where a Light was Needed. It stand on its own, but he head is movable. I am really happy with my purchase.@
