Bought this to remodel my basement. Solid build and very accurate. DEWALT is my go to for all power tools.

Defective and DeWalt Won't Help

Defective. The guard bracket screw will not come out to change the blade. It has blue stuff on it that looks like Loctite and the wrench that came with the saw is starting to strip it. I googled this issue and found lots of people on message boards that had the same problem with this saw right out of the box. Yet, DeWalt keeps selling saws with this defect.
DeWalt Support suggested I send it to a mail-in program that doesn't take miter saws. The only other suggestion is a repair shop that's an hour away which I'll have to take off from work to go to. Don't waste your money.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Use this more than I thought I would for miscellaneous projects (1-2 / week). It’s definitely used for all major projects. Easy to use, never had a problem with it & it makes quick work out of what could be a very long project.
