it was my mistake to buy a unit without a battery. I had another Dewalt battery but it was only 2 Ah and the cleaner didn't run very long. I have now purchased a 5 Ah and am getting ready to test the longevity.

Simply put - the plastic connectors fail to provide water to the pump. They leak or disconnect.

I got this at Tractor Supply and picked it up as an impulse buy.   We already have a gasoline Honda powered 3000psi pressure washer for most tasks.  I thought this one might be just right for cleaning the back porch or other quick tasks.   We already have so many DEWALT 20v tools and batteries.   First impressions is that this is very light duty and I fear it won’t last long.   The unit itself is reasonably sized but can get heavy for longer tasks or for smaller individuals (my wife).   Gets points for all the accessories and having hi & lo power settings.   The battery box has a spray cover (not completely water proof).   The water inlet comes with a quick disconnect and is completely plastic.   This is where I think the weak point will be.   We have no-kink industrial hoses and they are way too heavy and put too much weight on these connections.   The inlet should have been brass.  I recommend you get a short light weight hose with more flex to keep the weight down on this connection.  May not be a problem for other people.   I will get a small light weight hose to keep with the unit.   I tried it with standard DEWALT 5ah and power pro 5ah batteries.   Noticeable difference in performance.  We used it to clean our back porch (400 sq Ft).   We used 2ea 5ah power pro batteries to complete the project.   It cleaned well, not at the power level or pressure of a gas powered unit of course, but was capable of cleaning algae, dirt and other light stains off concrete with the rotary concrete tip.    The low power setting was nice for cleaning sliding door tracks.   I rated it 4/5 because of the weak inlet connection.   I can recommend this unit if you already have DEWALT 20v tools, and just need a very light weight cleaner.   This will not clean your house exterior, tractor or other equipment.    I don’t recommend this as a primary pressure washer for DIY homeowners, buy a decent gas powered unit if you plan on washing your house, tractor, equipment, driveway, etc.

Good gun for 550 psi. Plastic adapter broke while preparing to use the 2nd time.
