The Daily Dose Equine Freestyle Performance Textured Horse Feed is a non-GMO whole food made with oats, barley, alfalfa and timothy hay for extra fiber and 12% fat. The Daily Dose equine trail mix is a calorie-packed feed with high levels of nutrients. For l-lysine, we have added peas. Trail Mix is made with no fillers, no wheat, no soybean meal, no corn and no distiller's grains; just oats and barley made more digestible by the roasting process. The lack of fillers allows you to feed smaller quantities as suggested by most veterinarians while easily maintaining body condition, energy and focus. The Trail Mix is especially soothing for horses with digestive issues with its kelp, montmorillonite clay, oats and digestive enzymes. Comes in a 40 lb. bag. It is suggested that changing a horses diet take place over a 10 day period. First measure the new and the old feed for the day, then take 1/4 of the old feed away and add in 1/4 of the new feed - hold for 3 days. Then go half and half for 3 days. Then 3/4 of the new and 1/4 of the old feed and on the 10th day, use 100% of the new.
