Easy on, easy grass removal

Not sure what's wrong with the other boys reviewing this bagger unless they are inexperienced with grass catchers. You cannot mow wet grass and catch it period and I'm sure that is behind their reviews. 1) High lift blades 2) Dry grass, that's what is required to catch grass. If you buy a bagger, do not forget to buy high lift blades, it will not work without them, don't let the these other reviews fool you and if you're mowing and the tires show moisture don't try to catch it, you'll be digging out the chute with clogged grass. Some folks will never learn lol

not worth it

I purchased the triple bagger for my SLTX1050. I've used it about 5 times and the chute gets clogged up almost instantly right where it comes out uf the deck. The manual says to have the throttle wide open for maximum air movement, which I do. The bagger also comes with a different style of cutting blade which is supposed to help with the air flow, doesn't really help. I called the dealer I bought it from. They suggested the obvious, go slower. They also suggested raising the deck height, making narrower cutting paths. Any suggestion they give would double my mowing time. So I took it off, more of a headache than it's worth.

    Waste of your money

Clogs up almost immediately. Does not fit well on lawnmower. I can't believe Cub Cadet would put their name on this product its so bad. I do have the 50 inch deck zero turn lawn mower which i do like a lot but so disappointed with the bagger.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Somewhat useful

I bought this bagger with a new Cub Cadet lawn tractor about 10 years ago. Had the same experience as described by other reviewers. The chute would clog and clippings would pile up inside the mower deck. Called Cub Cadet and they said I had to use "high lift" mower blades. I advised Tractor Supply where I bought the tractor and bagger and they provided a free set of high lift blades. It made no difference. Chute still clogged. I also raised the mower deck and slowed the speed, only mowed when dew was completely dry and it only helped a little. I stopped using the bagger all together. HOWEVER: After I mowed and gave the clippings just an hour or so to dry out a little the bagger made an excellent sweeper to sweep up the clippings. It was pretty much like mowing the lawn twice, but it did get rid of the clippings. I only hit the heaviest areas of grass clippings to save some time, but it made a good sweeper. Another update. I had to replace the blades and bought an after market set of blades at a local tractor supply store. They were not as wide as the MTD blades and were a little cheaper. The didn't have the exaggerated high lift angle on the blades and to my surprise I was able to mow and bag the clippings in a single pass. It was mid summer and the lawn had thinned out a little but even when mowing the thickest areas. I wouldn't count on this experience but so far it is working for me. The alternatives are leaving the clippings on the lawn, using a two behind sweeper with less capacity than the triple bagger, or using the bagger as a power sweeper after mowing. If you can find the right blades to sweep and mow at the same time consider yourself very lucky.

This bagger system is worthless , tried all the possible solutions , chute clogges up within 15 feet no matter what the speed or deck height.
