Formulated for cooler months, this pond bacteria treatment accelerates the decomposition of leaves, twigs, scum and sediment that can contribute to pond muck during the fall and winter. The cold water formula helps replenish beneficial bacteria lost over the winter and jump-start biological filters as soon as the ice melts. Easy-to-use, pre-measured water-soluble packets make applying this spring and fall pond treatment simple and convenient. Safe for fish, plants, pets and wildlife, Spring and Fall Prep helps keep your pond looking its best even when water temperatures drop below 60 degrees F. Each packet treats 1,000 gal. of pond water, while the 24-packet jar treats up to 24,000 gal. for up to 6 weeks. Apply one packet directly to the pond or filtration system once per week when water temperatures are below 60 degrees F, and apply every 3 days if additional treatment is needed between routine applications. For optimal results, use Spring and Fall Prep when water temperatures are 35-60 degrees F, pH is 6.5-8.5 and dissolved oxygen is 5 PPM.
