The story unfolds...

There you are... Searching for a decently prices pellet stove. You stumble on the Alpine HP42. You start reading reviews and it seems to be a nice stove. Once it's delivered and installed, you start it up. You're in love with the heat output and the ease of upkeep. Then, a few weeks later, your beautiful stove starts screaming. You take off the side panel to find, the room air motor is the source of the blood curdling noise. You reach out to the company, and with little questions, a new room air blower is shipped. You'll think "well, at least the customer service is outstanding!". Unfortunately, that was only the start of your issues. Not, with a new blower installed, you're stove no longer runs the same. Customer service and other owner will relentless try to help you get your settings right (after all, it can't be the stove, it must be the settings and it's probably your fault). You be so distraught that you'll ask the company for a replacement stove. They say "sure! But, you would be better off if we send you all the upgraded/updated parts, because a new stove will have the same old unreliable parts". You should take this advice as your first red flag, that a company is shipping stoves knowing the parts are not good. New parts arrive (one being another room blower fan, I forgot to mention the first replacement you receive has also started screaming). Once the new parts and electronics are installed, it'll seem all too easy. I must caution you not to get too comfortable. The clock has began ticking on this new found honeymoon. About a week later, your stove will begin to act like it doesn't know it's a pellet stove. Customer service will be right there to help! With different settings to try that will ultimately not work. You'll get invited to a social media group, and those people too will give you settings that won't work. As your frustration builds, people in the group will make sure you feel inadequate because "their's works just fine!" so it must be a YOU problem. Pay attention though, you are not the only unfavored one to receive a firey rubiks cube, there are others out there with identical problems. New determination starts to build in you. You CAN keep this things running. But life can't stop... So you'll go away for a couple days and try to explain to your house sitter how to keep the stove burning. They will call you while you're gone, and you'll tell them "if it stops dropping pellets when it switching over to heating, just give it a little hip check, it always starts again". It will, in fact, start dropping pellets. However, what you won't see over the phone is that you innocent house sitter has accidentally disconnected your chimney from the back just enough to cover ever inch of your house in soot... Now, while you're throwing belongings away and scrubbing the greasy black off everything that can't be discarded, you'll stop and take a break to let the company know you've decided a refund is the best options so you can purchase a different functioning stove. Don't worry though, they'll quickly let you know it's past 90 days from purchase so even if they wanted to, they couldn't refund you. However, go ahead and pick out a different model and they replace yours for you. Once you've found one in their line up with a similar hopper size and heat output, customer service will smile while they happily inform you "you have to pay the difference in cost". Completely reasonable, considering the next comparable things is only $1000 more. You'll be stuck with a half functioning stove for the remainder of time. The same loving stove that left you cold in the middle of winter. The same amazing stove that stopped working on the coldest nights of the year, freezing your pipes. It's all yours, from now on. So make sure you enjoy your time together!

Heats fair. I expected better. Several things left from manual.. I had it two months and had blower motors failure. I will say Comfortbilt does replace parts and is really great to work with.

Poor customer service

Would highly recommend finding another brand for a pellet stove if you're in need of one. It works amazing when it works, but if anything happens to it good luck getting ahold of customer service to get help. Mine stopped working about a month ago, I've emailed them multiple times to get the reply of" my request has been received and being reviewed by staff" I've tried calling as well and have left a message but still nothing. Beyond frustrated as this pellet stove is what i used to heat my house.

No, I do not recommend this product.
