[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I've loved this jacket, but 6 months later the zipper has started popping loose at the bottom and I have to pretty much yank it apart to get out of the jacket and try again. The jacket is great for 30-60 degree weather but zippers are junk anymore.

I purchased the Ascender jacket in March 2024 so I'm not sure if it was the 2024 or 2023 edition. It's not two tone but solid olive green with black accents. I absolutely love this jacket. The fit is great and keeps me warm in temperatures as low as the upper 30°F range.

Good coat, but the top piece of velcro on the cuffs sticks out lessening functionality and appeal. Needs a flat strip that attaches to the velcro which will look and function better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I searched for months for an unlined softshell jacket, like the Patagonia I had years ago. The only unlined jackets I could find are close-fitting and do not work with shirts. Even though the Ascender is lined, I settled on it because of fit and velcro at the sleeves rather than annoying elastic. The lining of this jacket is light, the fit is great and the velcro sleeve makes it easier for the jacket to fit over a shirt without dragging up my shirt sleeves. The softshell material is great and the jacket appears to be well-constructed. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the lack of inside pockets. If 4.5 stars was an option, that would be my grade.
