I tried this hat on at REI and really liked it. I opted to go directly to Columbia for the purchase though. The brim is the right width for me and I like several other features. The vented top will work well for my upcoming summer rafting trip. I also like the strap that is easy to adjust. Another reason I chose this hat is because the underside of the brim is dark blue, which I think will work better for me when it is bright outside.

I have had this hat for over 20 years. It’s been in the desert, the city, the mountains, the beach and the ocean (and I mean IN the ocean!). Not only does it protect my head, face, ears and neck, but it has held up better than any garment I’ve ever owned. It has been folded, crumpled, dunked in salt water, sweated in, sun baked and flung like a frisbee. And it looks nearly brand new! I’ll never buy a different sun protection hat again.

Perfect hat for our oversea trip to Asia. Fits nice and very light weight.

Good sun protection, lightweight, dries quickly! Only thing I don’t love is that the straps are attached right over top of the ears rather than in front or behind my ears.
