The Cold Steel Espada was inspired by the classical Navaja knives of Spain but was utterly modern in both appearance and materials. These mega-folders took the market by storm! A design collaboration between custom knifemaker Andrew Demko and Lynn C. Thompson, the Espadas are available in two sizes to suit both the bold and the boldest of individuals! Despite their imposing size, they are expertly designed to fit comfortably and discreetly in your pocket. You'll soon forget that you are carrying such a large and impressive blade. Equipped with the patented Demko Thumb Plate, the Large and Extra Large Espadas can be snagged on your pocket, opening the knife as you draw it - and opening in the blink of an eye! The Espada's beautiful blades are made from Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel. Each Espada is equipped with the patented Tri-Ad locking mechanism, proven to have amazing shock resistance and strength. In their own notoriously brutal product testing, the XL Espada was not only capable of holding 600lbs of free hanging weight, but they even used it to support a hanging engine block!

  • Cold Steel has never been afraid to break with convention. That's why, when everyone else in the industry made the smallest, flimsiest, dainty little knives that they could, Cold Steel released a series of blades that could only be described as one thing - pocket swords!
  • Ergonomic shape for comfortable handling

The best knife in my life

I have owned this knife for over ten years, having received it as a gift from my mother when I was 17. A symbolic item which will be forever in my heart. Precious, strongest one. If someone asks you what knife you would take to a desert island, the answer will be obvious. Best from the best. Thank you!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Huge blade and a rock solid locking mechanism

Another amazing example of a knife! She's an absolute BEAST in the best sense of the word. In a world of cookies cutter knives this blade stands head and shoulders above all other folders......and many fixed blades.

Fits in any pocket

I bought this a long time ago, so I'm glad to see these coming back around again. This thing fits in my jean pockets and my shorts pockets with no problem. Even though it's a bigger knife, the way it folds up, there's actually room in my pocket. The size alone when unfolded is a great deterrent. When you hear that thing snap in place, you know you have a serious blade in your hand, because this thing is no joke. Carry this every day when I'm not at work.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Heavy Duty Folding Knife

I bought this knife 3 months ago on other reviews. It’s a large, strongly built folding knife. It will do anything from making kindling to self defense purposes with ease. I personally think the Espada Large is the more practical and functional knife. The XL to Me is too much folding knife. The large carries easily and comfortably. Steel quality is an excellent choice too! My only was it didn’t come as sharp as I had expected. I did remedy that quick. And it took an excellent edge easily. You can’t go wrong with this do anything knife.

Yes, I recommend this product.
