Great grill

I bought this grill as a wedding gift for a friend. They absolutely love it. It fit 6 nice sized porterhouse steaks on it and still had room. The cooking grates are cast iron so you must treat them like you would a cast iron pan to avoid rust. My only issue with the grill is i think the legs and wheel assemblies could have been made more sturdy. Directions on putting it together arent crystal clear, but if you have some intelligence and problem solving skills, it goes together easily. Im considering getting the hybrid model for myself (half propane half charcoal).

Bought awhile back, finally got it put together and put it behind my house...went to put charcoal in it and it already has rust stains and spots.

Ordered online for store pickup. Did not expect it to be already put together. Usually that is a positive. Not today.
Was walked out to the side yard to pick which one to take home. Sun faded, rust inside and outside, bird crap, you name it. So disappointed.

I have owned one of these Chargriller grills for over 10 years with minimal maintenance. It was just time to replace it. I was thinking about getting an "upgrade" but the prices are outside of my range and the quality seemed lacking in comparison. After considering all of the options, with the use I have gotten out of the original grill, I decided to purchase the same grill as it has been a great performer and lasted longer than previous grills. Save some money and got what I needed. If it works, it works.

I have had this style Char Griller since 2011,, love it. Make sure to “season “ the entire grill inside and out before using, then every year on the outside will vegetable oil and heat resistant paint, they will last. I have replaced the cast iron grates and the coal pan inside after 13 years. Great grill, highly recommended.
