Q: In reference to your Champion Power Equipment 15,000 pound snatch block, C11003, sku 183417799. does the black brackets on either side of the pulley slide back and forth (open up) as to accommodate a cable with a hook on it?

  • A: Thank you for your question! They swivel, but do not pull apart. They are not lined up perfectly. You can rotate the top one, lay your wire on the pulley, and then rotate the top back to the default position to accomplish this.

Rock mover

I needed to move a big rock uphill 2 stories and about 70 feet overland. The winch I had bought was rated 1,500 lbs. and after measuring the rock I determined it was roughly 1,300 lbs. As anyone who uses equipment or does engineering knows, that means you’re pushing your luck. So I bought this snatch block and ran the winch cable through it. Yes it cut the pull length in half but doubled the pull force, and even though the winch cable was still near it’s limit this block made the uphill battle possible and the rock is now sitting where I had planned !

No, I do not recommend this product.
