The Carry-On Trailer Weld-On Spring Hanger Kit is used to replace worn out brake drums. Or, the spring hanger kit can be used with an electric brake backing plate to turn an idler axle into a brake axle. The spring hanger kit includes a small hanger, medium hanger, four 2.562 in. shackle links, six 9/16 in. x 3 in. shackle bolts and six nuts.

Q: What are the material dimensions of the small hanger?

- A: The small hanger is 2 1/8" tall, 1 1/2" wide, 1 3/4" leg to leg and .22" thick.11 months agoHelpful?
Q: I bought this kit months ago so I can’t return it. I discovered that the bolts and nuts in this kit have threads that do not screw together smoothly. The nuts are silver color. I get three and half smooth turns before it locks up. Explanation please??

- A: Without a part number I will assume it must be a lock nut. If you need to screw it tighter and cannot turn the wrench then I would suggest you back them off and get a regular nut with a lock washer and see if that will work.a year agoHelpful?

- A: 644T Weld on Spring Hanger Kit - HANGER KIT / EYE TO EYE FOR ONE AXLE. These do not come with instructions as it will vary depending on what you are building. The spring seat spacing will determine you axle size you buy, the measurement from eye to eye will determine the size spring you will buy. So the spring hangers will determine the eye to eye measurement and then that will determine your spring and the spring seat spacing will determine the axle.6 years agoHelpful?

missing most important parts

got package delivered same day(extra 50-60 dollars) to fix trailer and get back to work....it came quick enough, but package was half empty...no bolts or nuts!

Bolts broke

Spline on bolts wouldn’t pull into the shackles. I already broke one of the bolts and I know another one is damaged too. I’ve already got the brackets welded to the trailer. Hope to return anyway.
