Carry-On Trailer Hub Assembly, 5 Bolt, 1,250 lb. Capacity is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not enought details on package... This is for a straight shaft measuring 1 1/16" diameter and is about 4.5" long roughly. Inner and outer bearing internal size is the same. It also comes with two different inner seals. 1 seal is pre installed and is 1 1/4", the other is slightly larger, 1 3/8 I think. Bearing outside diameter is 2"... (1.98 or something..) Will not work on 1" shaft!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shaft gauge needed Lost a wheel bearing on I-80 during a recent trip. Forced to drive on the shoulder several miles for safety. This caused some wear on the trailer axil. Picked new bearings and sand cloth to make repairs. Long story short. It would have been nice to include a shaft gauge to insure fit before installing bearing assembly. Had to try it several times while getting grease all over the place!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with this assembly! I was having a difficult time locating the proper bearings, races, and seals for my 30 year old boat trailer. Based on the price of these assemblies, I decided to simply replace the whole thing vs. the individual parts. For a few more dollars, I didn't have to worry about messing with packing the bearings with grease, etc. I mounted two of these assemblies in less than 30 minutes, and towed the trailer on a 400 mile trip with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bolt on replacement! Trailer wheel bearing disintegrated on I-75 north of Tifton Ga. Located the closest Tractor Supply which had this in stock. It slipped right on the spindle no problem. Be sure not to lose the spindle nut when you remove the old hub. This kit has everything except that nut. It worked great. I installed it in minutes and it got me safely home. (300 miles) Seems well made so I expect it to last. Note: they come in different spindle sizes so measure your trailer spindle first!

Is the grease that is already packed in, sufficient enough to not worry about it? I ask because Im driving about 900 miles and want to make sure I dont have anything to worry about.

Asked by: Giuseppe
The hubs do come with grease packed in them, as with all mechanical parts they will need to inspected periodically to ensure they are maintained.

Is there an inner bearing as well as an outer bearing? What is the size of the inner bearing?

Asked by: Rhygty
The 5-bolt 1250 lb., hub assembly, Part no. 155, does have an inner and outer bearing. The inner and outer bearing are the same size at 1 1/16" due to the axle which uses this hub has a straight spindle which is 1 1/16".

There are two lip seals included. Is that for one in front and one in back? On my trailer there isn’t enough room to put the one on the outside.

Asked by: John32112345
We include 2 different size seals in the kit as some axles will have different size spindles. You will use the one that came on the hub and if it will not slide on your spindle then you will use the other seal instead.
