Its thin aluminum with Sharp edges. However,for its size and weight with the lower cost than steal, its a good deal.

box is a little on the light side but will work. Problem is the lid, and top of sides, has very shape edges and I actually cut my finger on it.

BEWARE: This box is EXTREMELY light and flimsy. Putting even a moderate amount of weight on the sides of the box caused it to bend in on itself. The box is also not sealed with only sporadic spot welds on the seams. The lip reaching into the box is very rough. Negatives: The box was dropped during shipping leading to a large dent on the corner (pictured below). This caused the lid to be off-center and scrape when opened. The lid also had two large "folded" dents. This can be blamed on the shipper (UPS); however, Buyers shares a large part of the blame. The box shipped with no foam or bubble wrap to protect the product during shipment. The box was slid in a small plastic sleeve and shoved into the shipping box leaving no crumple zone in case of a fall. I will not reorder this product as the odds of the box getting to me undamaged from Ohio with the lackluster packaging is zero to none. Positives: The box is aesthetically pleasing with a polished, silver diamond design. The box is also a good size and pretty deep. Two keys are included, handle/ latch is well designed. Returned for a refund, will not be buying another Buyers product.

I purchased another toolbox for my aluma trailer to stow my yard equipment in. I just wasn't happy with it.
