Q: Does this have a seal on lid to make waterproof? Does it have a gas strut assist to open lid?

    Installation instructions are lacking in detail. Also, the box initially jammed shut because the factory setting of the nuts on the U-bolt latch were too far to the left and caused a jam. Once those issues were resolved, all is well.
