15 days ago- A: Brutus Bone Broth contains 0.1% sodium. In order to make our broth shelf stable we need to add sea salt. We use the finest, trace amount of sea salt in Brutus Bone Broth to ensure the proper pH is achieved to keep our product safe for consumption. Furthermore, like humans, dogs need some sodium. Generally speaking, most veterinarians use the following categories when discussing low-sodium diets: - Dogs with no sodium restrictions require food with at least 0.5% sodium content (>100mg sodium/100kCal) - Dogs who require mild sodium restriction should be offered foods with between 0.35% and 0.5% sodium content (80 to 100mg/100kCal) - Dogs who require moderate sodium restriction should only receive foods with between 0.1% and 0.35% sodium content (50 to 80mg/100kCal) - Dogs who require severe sodium restriction should be offered food with less than 0.1% sodium content (<50mg/100kCal)14 days agoHelpful?
