Q: What is the cutting depth

- A: Hi Donald The angle is 20 degrees or approx 10 inches above ground. Once the grinder passes the angle the oil flows back and the low oil sensor will shut off the engine to protect it. The opposite is true for below ground as the oil sensor is on the front of the crank case so your good for about 12 inches deep. The cutters across a flat stump top cut 3 inches deep and 8 inches wide. You can see this cut in action on the BigbearPower website. Thanks and happy grinding, Gregg7 months agoHelpful?

- A: The Double Down stump grinder will grind any diameter stump. Working from the outside edge removing the stump. The stump should be cut to 10 inches or lower from the ground. The twin cutter wheels will cut a wide path with every inward cut. Thanks for asking.10 months agoHelpful?

1. Great product for its function
2. *NOTE* The bolt and nut assembly provided for the rear rubber guard are too short! I had to go to the local hardware store to get a longer assembly
3. *NOTE2* Where are stumps? Usually in a field or forest, right? While trying to move the product from one location to another: I needed to constantly use excessive force because the same guard i had to adjust for during assembly 😅 🙃 was dragging all the dirt and pine needles on the ground! I could shorten it but it defeats the purpose of the guard...
Anyways, other than that, great product and cuts like butter.
P.s. it uses 10w-30 oil and premium gas only!
P.p.s. don't forget to assemble to battery before trying to start!
