The Torin Big Red TRT1141 1,400 lb. Single-Speed Manual Geared Hand Winch is a great tool that offers quality lifting and towing aid up to 1,400 pounds. This winch is a must have utility to make short pulling distances easier and lifting large or heavy items. Designed for easy mounting on pickup trucks, ATV's, boats, trailers, lifting grain augers, and general use for multipurpose hauling or lifting/pulling of light loads such as volleyball nets. A manual-automatic locking brake system gives you security for load transport and stability. This winch also features a comfortable nylon handle for turning the Single-speed planetary gear for efficient, easy cranking for rotating fast or slow on heavy loads. Zinc-plated finish for superior corrosion resistance is applied to ensure a long-lasting finish and to help prevent rust, helping resistant bad weather and outdoor elements. Tested for reliability and safety.

I bought this winch for my 18' aluminum bass boat trailer and it has worked flawlessly for a year now. I fish a lot of trolling motor only lakes and this winch has made it much easier to load my boat on those lakes. The product seems to be built very well.

Don't waste your money!!

Used one time to pull hay on to a hay buggy, stripped the gears. There was no way to attach the cable to the spool. Will never buy again!!

Failed in on the second day.

I bought a winch rated for 1400lbs, which is much greater weight than what I expected to move. I installed this winch on my hay buggy to move large round hay bales. The bales are 1000-1100lbs and rest on the buggy's pivot forks. Because of the buggy's leverage, the winch wasn't pulling anything close to 1400lbs. I moved 19 bales when the mechanism started to slip. It would not raise the 20th bale, the gear completely stripped.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dangerous, should be recalled

Do not use on a trailer. Cheap construction. The bolt that holds the stopper bent and was staring to shear causing the stopper to disengage and go to freespool.
