Rated 4 out of 5 by from works once you learn how getting the flow rates right is finicky, the oxy bottles run out real fast. i can refill the oxy at the steel yard for next to nothing and i added inline gauges to judge the flow rates, works just fine for field use, stores easily inside a roll up in the truck box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice Try Bought this kit for mechanical work and to try some light brazing. Oxygen ran out very quickly, less then 10 minutes of use, Bought another tank and around the same results. Oxygen tanks are pricey and for this not a practical tool for the shop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works for 10 minutes I bought this to bend 1/2" steel rod to save money instead of buying a full sized torch kit. It worked fine for about 4 bends then ran out of oxygen. This couldn't have been on for more than five minutes at the most. Do not waste your money on this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than expected I bought this BernzOmatic torch kit out of desperation when working on an exhaust system. I desperately needed a torch that was capable of heating steel studs cherry red that were in aluminium and melting 1/2" nuts off a catalytic converter. I could not afford an oxy-acetylene torch kit so I gave this a shot. I did some research on this product before hand and read some bad reviews but decided to pick it up anyway. I have to say that the torch kit is much much better than I was expecting. I was able to get it started no problem and it heated bolts up very fast. If you heat a bolt to red, then gradually increase the oxygen it will start to cut and melt away the metal. I picked up an extra oxygen tank expecting it to be consumed extremely quickly, which it was, but it was better than I expected it to be. Overall this is just what I needed. Great for small jobs requiring precise extreme heat.

About how much run time does this set up have? And is it enough to cut 1/8” sheet metal

Asked by: Jb 36
The run time of this item depends on the application and at what setting the customer is running the torch. The run time varies per fuel cylinder. The oxygen cylinder will run for 15-20 min. The Map-Pro cylinder will run for close to an hour.
