- A: The benefits of 4 prongs, or points, over 2 points is dependent of your application of the wire. For example, if you are using barbed wire to enclose your cattle, the more head of cattle you have on the wire the more pressure you'll see on the wire, therefore you'll want to have 4 points rather than 2 point barbed wire.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: Thank-you for the questions @Whitecity. Our Gaucho High Stength Barbed Wire, 15.5g 2 point barbed wire is Class 3 which means testing has shown it won't rust for over 20 years. Regional and weather conditions will have an effect on this though.8 years agoHelpful?
