I've used Bear Mountain many times over the years. I used it when I couldn't get Lumber Jack pellets. It's not the same, never had an issue with excessive ash but now it's an issue. I did a 4 hour cook, 275° and the amount of ash was like a 8 hour cook. Flavor was still good but amount used and amount of ash was way over board.
