The Barenbrug 3 lb. Free Range Groundcover Forage Grass Seed Mixture contains a wide variety of seed species and will grow into a smorgasbord of greens for your small animals to forage on. It's ideal for chickens, game birds, goats and sheep. Grow a feast for your backyard livestock animals. The grass seed requires full sun to part shade to grow. It covers up to 3,000 sq. ft.

Here is what is listed for this grass mixure: Hardiness Zones 8 (10 to 20 F), 3 (-40 to -30 F), 5 (-20 to -10 F), 4 (-30 to -20 F), 6 (-10 to 0 F), 7 (0 to 10 F) Lubbock is Zone 7a Zone 7. In zone 7, cool-weather vegetables can usually be planted outdoors in early February.
