Shame on Ball!!

Shame on Ball for how they package their jars. They pack them with the seals and rings on the jars. The seals are hard to get off the jars because the rings have been screwed on to tight and there is an indention on the seal from the jar. Unfortunately, this causes many of the jars not to seal properly when using because it thinks it has already been used. The least they could do is put the seal on upside down in the ring to protect the seal.
What happened to the days then jars came with the lids and rings packaged separately? How about Kerr, do they do the same thing now? This review is no reflection on Tractor Supply as they are not responsible for this carelessness..

All of this companies jars are good quality, and ball lids seal about 90% of the time due to the thinner rubber on the lids.

Damaged Lids and Rings

I purchased cases of wide mouth pint jars when they were on sale for pick up at the store. My first experience doing so and that process went well. However, when I went to use the jars, most of the lids and the rings were dented and not usable for canning (which is the whole purpose). Disappointed to find this in the middle of busy canning season when I had a busy canning day ahead of me and was not able to use the lids to process my batches.
