Q: On the deck box, how does the floor go in? The instructions are not clear on this in operation.

- A: Hello, The floor is inserted half way through the assembly process. It is screwed into the frame and sits slightly above the ground. Have extra tools ready!

The box arrived with some damage, as appears to be a coo=mmon thread in these reviews. While putting it together, the base would not fit into the slot of the back wall--we needed to cut this metal slot ourselves. Likewise, a few screw holes were too small and needed to be drilled. This is not the product for someone without access to these types of tools!
It does look good and close nicely--we have had it for 1 week.

Be patient for assembly; minor shipping damage

Product assembly took around 1-2 hrs. Was tough to get some of the screws in because the holes weren't lining up. Used an awl and vise grip pliers to help. Couple of corners were bent in pretty bad as if the box had been dropped in shipping. Was able to bend them back enough to assemble, but something is still warped to where the lid is about an inch out of alignment when closed. Maybe adding a lock will help keep it straight.
We were hoping to also use this as a seating bench on our dock, but not so sure it will support much weight. Maybe the kids can use it.
Overall, looks like it will store quite a bit, and with the lock, should be exactly what we need.
