Ariat Women's Wexford Waterproof Boots

Extremely comfortable, well-made, waterproof. Rugged but still stylish.

Super comfortable. Love that they’re both stylish and functional (waterproof!). And they were comfortable during a week of travel and walking around on concrete.

Second pair- one of my favorite boots. I wore my first pair for over 2 years and would still be wearing them had my dog not destroyed them. Perfect for fall all the way through late spring- these boots have a classic look while standing up to weather and wear. Like most leather boots, they start a little tight but relax as they’re worn.

I previously had rubber rain boots which would chafe something awful and I wanted to get new waterproof boots to replace them. Enter the Chelsea boot, shorter, cuter, waterproof that has so far stood up to Seattle rain, and generally very comfortable around my foot. Around the ankle tho is the problem. I was a dancer for 20 years so my ankles are a little on the thick side, but there is still space between my skin and the boot (not snug by any means). With properly tall socks on they kind of restrict flexion of your foot so it’s awkward in driving positions or walking up hills. If you ever are having a dog emergency and they need to get outside right now and you only have short socks on and put these on and rush outside, like I did, I immediately got a chafe burn from the thick seam in the back of the boot that rubbed me raw. It’s been maybe two weeks since then, and I just finally am able to tolerate the boots with just tall socks and not have to cushion it with bandaids anymore. I love these boots, but they hurt me:( hopefully I can break them in more and if you get them NEVER wear short socks
