My New Ariats: Comfort with a Factory Defect

I’ve owned several pairs of Ariat boots, and they’ve always been durable and extremely comfortable. These boots are also very comfortable and made of high-quality leather; unfortunately, the inner heel of the left boot has completely fallen apart. The fabric lining has come loose and bunches up, creating a painful lump at the heel that makes it almost impossible to wear them for long periods. It’s disappointing because I know Ariat makes quality products and I’ve never had this kind of issue with their boots before. The rest of the boot is great, and I wish I could recommend them 100%.

Comfort: 5 stars
Durability: 4.5 stars
Grip in general: 5 stars
Rooftop Grip: 5 stars
Ladder comfort: 3 stars *my feet are more sore than my other boots after a day climbing ladders. I believe it's due to the lack of the "orange" core sole. However:
Daily comfort: 5 stars *lighter and more flexible than my other Ariat boots.
Warmth: 6... yes, 6 stars. *have been great for winter so far. Definitely will be too warm for summer. Guess I'll have to buy another vented pair for summer... darn! *wink*
Waterproof: 5 stars
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. Not my typical sole style but lighter and more comfortable overall. I'll stick with the orange-core, vented boots for my ladder work busy/hot season.

Worse pair of boots I’ve ever owned. Absolutely would not recommend. Ordered normal size, fit way too tight. Rubbed blisters on back of both heels. Very very uncomfortable
