Wotks just fine

I bought the pole, and its alright. It's the star spangled banner. I personally believe she's perfect as is. However, this model of her doesn't have any grommets or hardware to actually support the flag and stick it on the pole. It has a hook on the top of the pole, but there's nothing on the flag to attach the clip on the pole to. I had to resort to, may God and General Washington forgive me for my treason, burn a hole in the polyester flag just to clip it on to the pole. It made me feel like a traitor to the Union taking heat to her when she hasn't even flown yet. I’m extremely disappointed in this oversight from the manufacturer. And the plastic hardware at the top to hold the useless clip appendage looks poorly secured to the pole. I expect the plastic hardware to crack from UV damage. The material of the pole is a cheap kind of wood that looks untreated with anything. Before I actually hang this outside I’ll have to hit it with a stain or at the very least a polyurethane coat to protect it from the elements, otherwise it probably won’t last. And the pole’s wall mount is plastic, that’s fine. But the manufacturer left a bunch of plastic string inside the pole mount from the threading process of the thumb screw. But I guess you get what you pay for. I’d say if you’re a true red blooded American, maybe don’t buy this one. You’d get the same effect with a $5.00 flag from the dollar store and a stick you’d find out back. Please save your shekels up for a better flag and pole set, or just spend it on groceries instead. God knows it’s a better use of $25 to get a gallon of milk than to buy this product.
