If your farm or property has an electric fence, protect your investment with the American Farm Works Electric Fence Lightning Arrestor. By installing one at each corner of your fence, the lightning arrestor helps to create a path of least resistance, diverting lightning surges to the ground. Install it using an American Farm Works 20,000V underground or hookup wire, which is compatible with all connections. You'll also need a separate ground rod system with a 6 ft. or 8 ft. long ground rod. With screws included, the lightning arrestor is designed for easy, simple mounting. The durable construction is ready to handle whatever the elements throw at it. Keep your electric fence safe from inclement weather by installing this lightning arrestor.

Bought one and after a light rain shower it was shorting out. After looking closer it had a crack I hadn’t noticed so I went and bought another and made sure it wasn’t cracked. After a brief rain the new one also shorts out to the ground. Would not recommend.

Broke before I got in installed .

I got it out of the box and the end broke before I even got the wires on. Its very brittle .

Beware!

Beware! Purchased and installed 100 feet away from charger and it intermittently (1 out of three or four pulses) shorts through the arrestor to ground. Useless for me...as is the ground rod I installed for it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
