Amantadine Capsule is a prescription pain reliever used to manage chronic pain in dogs and cats. It is commonly prescribed to treat arthritis and neuropathic pain caused by nerve injury. Special Precautions

Do not use Amantadine in conjunction with quinidine, a heart medication, or trimethoprim-sulfa, an antibiotic. Also avoid use in pets:

• With untreated glaucoma
• With congestive heart disease
• With liver disease
• With behavioral disorders
• With seizure disorders
• With kidney disease

Excretion of Amantadine could be decreased by thiazide diuretics.
