Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid choice Overall the ingredients fulfill our cats dietary needs. Their coats are soft & shiny, good energy & activity levels. Smell isn’t overpowering like some foods are which doesn’t give them bad breath either. Most importantly, all 3 of our cats love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cat loves this food and it made him healthy! The kitten we adopted was malnourished with dull scruffy fur. He loves this food and it helped him gain weight while his fur became silky soft and shiny! He is so happy to be healthy. (I mixed this 4health untamed food with the 4health indoor cat formula.)

it says "no starchy vegetables", but peas (the 5th ingredient) are starchy. explanation?

Asked by: augsksa
We are unsure where you are referring to the statement of "no starchy vegetables" as that is listed nowhere on the website or the bag itself. Legumes do have a starch component, they also contain protein and fiber and are less "starchy" than potatoes or sweet potatoes.

Where is it made? What type of facility? Are the ingredients human grade?

Asked by: KikiKat
There are five manufacturing facilities, all located in the United States. Two facilities are located in California, one in Missouri, one in South Carolina and one in Arkansas. Our ingredients are the same grade and quality and come from the same sources used for human food applications; however, they are not considered "human-grade". The term "human-grade" does not have a place in the pet food industry. Legally, for a meat to be "human-grade", it must be processed in a human-grade facility. Pet food facilities are not human-grade, rather, they are ALL feed grade. By law, as soon as meat, even "human-grade" meat is shipped to a pet food facility it becomes "feed-grade". This doesn't change the quality of the meat; but, it does change its legal definition. It would be irresponsible to tell you that our products are better than the competition because our foods use "human-grade" meats. Our products are of the highest quality, processed within the strictest standards in the industry.

i would like to know if this product is urinary tract health friendly for cats. thank you.

Asked by: augsksa
Although 4Health Untamed Stillwater Marsh recipe does contain urinary acidifiers designed to promote a healthy urinary tract, the ash level is moderate and it does not meet all of the criteria desired for a cat with history of feline lower urinary tract disease.
