Mounting brackets are hardware pieces that connect one part to another, such as a shelf to a wall or a panel to a post. You'll find them in projects around the house, barn, garage and workshop.
Angle brackets have a bend, often forming an L shape, for connections where two surfaces meet at a corner. Flat brackets lie across a joint between parts on the same plane.
Fixed brackets have a set shape and position. Adjustable brackets have features such as slots, pivots or multiple attachment points that let you change the position or angle during setup.
Slotted holes are elongated openings rather than round ones. They allow a fastener to move along the slot while you're lining up the bracket before tightening it.
Exposed brackets remain visible after installation and become part of the finished look. Concealed brackets sit behind or inside the mounted item, keeping most or all of the hardware out of sight.
