We were almost about to build our own quail coop but decided to give this a try first. My husband was pleasantly surprised when putting it together, he expected a lot less! The quality is very good. It is very easy to put together. It had very, very slight cosmetic damages from shipping.
We did end up adding one coat of outdoor white paint (to everything that is already white), and I think it will prolong its outdoor life, some of the existing white paint was pretty thin.
We also added 1/2” hardware cloth to the bottom, though it does already come with a thick wire but I’m worried it would be too long of gaps for little quail toes.
According to the “1 ft.² per bird“ theory, this should be able to hold about 6 quail.
Overall I would definitely buy again… in fact I ordered a second one the next day because we like this one so much. The more quail the merrier.
Hope that answered all of the questions I was looking for in the reviews before I bought it!

The hutch is a good size. The quality could be a little better though. Had to glue the sides as they were not tight from the manufacturer. Works for what we need though.

This is junk. It didn’t even last 3 months before the back rotted off and it fell apart.
