- A: The ACR-480JR is not a good option for this type of work. The YTF-60PSR or FTF-60PSR3PT or the YTF-48LSR would be good options. The YTF-48LSR might be a little aggressive and pull up grass. The pine straw/debris rakes will not pull up grass, YTF-60PSR and FTF-60PSR3PT.3 years agoHelpful?

Good yard rake for most materials

I hand-bale hay and also needed to gather up grass/leaves, so I got this to go behind my lawnmower. It is effective, but quite finicky. Depending on what you are picking up, you have to go at different speeds to effectively gather the material. Straw requires a faster speed to bump out pieces so it doesn't become overloaded, but that speed would throw leaves everywhere and you must go much slower on those. Have not yet found an effective speed for grass clippings. It gets about 50% when grooming the mowed areas. Going to try mowing with this attached next year to see if I get better results.
