An Alaskan staple in the commercial fishing industry, the Legacy Boot provides commercial fishermen flexible, all-day comfort and the best protection against the broadest range of acids, corrosives, and contaminants. Each boot is made with XTRATUFs signature triple dipping technique, which creates a seamless barrier that is highly resistant to many organic and inorganic acids, chemicals and contaminants. The latex neoprene is ozone resistant, and is softer, lighter, and far more pliable than ordinary rubber. This pliability is what has made XTRATUF the leading choice for numerous commercial fisherman as it allows sneaker like agility while providing total waterproof protection and slip-resistance. Cushioned insoles with arch support help fight fatigue and stress on the legs and back. This Wild Calf version features a side gusset for a customized fit.

A: Calf circumference is listed as 16.5 inches but now this also has a gusset so there is further adjustability, can have an even larger opening.

These fit horribly. For a wide calf boot they really aren’t that wide. The ankle section was painful and kept folding inward causing bruising. I wore them for a whole day and was in so much pain. I’m going back to my muck boots because those actually fit better and don’t cause me pain.

I bought this boot thinking that the wide calf would work for us stocky folks. The wide calf is nice, but if you're just a big boned person, these boots fit horribly. The wide calf works well for the bigger calf, but the boot shaft reduces in diameter far too much and results in an extremely tight fit around the ankle. For the most part you can't even pull the boot on all the way because the shaft reduces too much in this area.

No, I do not recommend this product.
