I want to give these a rave review, I really do. I am a dog walker and pet sitter and many of my dog clients use these. They are great at keeping all dogs stimulated and anxious dogs distracted. However, after one has been used for a bit, it is so hard to screw closed and practically impossible to unscrew open. I've read all the advice and used a butter knife to help loosen it from the threads, I've soaked them in warm water to get all the old food/debris out, I've put olive oil on the threads to lubricate - it takes SO much time and effort and frankly, it causes pain to my hands. I don't know how an elderly person or someone with a weak grip could use these at all. Major design flaw!

This is a great toy/distraction, but after the dogs are finished, it is very hard to open. Really hard! I tried putting a lubricant on the treads, cooking oil or liquid soap. Works briefly and then fuses closed again. Anyone have a good solution to that?

When I bought this, I was so excited, but when i placed the treat inside and tried to screw it closed, i new it was goung to be an issue. Once my pups where done, it is almost impossible to unscrew and open it to wash it, I had to try and put oil in between te two parts to try and open it. I was very disappointed because it happens every time I tried it.

My mini Doxie loves it, but it takes her only about 15 min. to consume the little ball. Also, as doxie's tend to get overweight, you have to be careful of treats. I would love an idea what to put in it that is low calories .
