    BARELY large enough

    I have a 6 yo shire mare and I have to let this halter out all the way to get it on her. I would prefer to have a little extra room. Also, at the bottom of the halter, there are 2 loops of the halter material which makes it harder to get the lead rope on it. There's not much room left in the clasp to slide around as the horse moves. I would have preferred a metal ring. That said, she hasn't broken it yet (2 weeks of use).
