Perfect for wildlife food storage

We use this to store bird seed for our garden birds. Works great. Hold about two and a half bags of 40 pound birdseed bags from Tractor Supply. I like that it screws shut so no water or racoon fingers can get it open.

Need lids.

Dropped first lid, chunck broke out of lip. Purchased second one, rodents chewed through lid. Need lids, will not purchase whole unit again. Need lids, too much money for only 3 months use. Understandable no warranty for rodents, but three foot drop and lid breaks off a large piece. Tried to glue, didn't hold.

Feed, yes, liquids, not so much, leaks

As a food container, I'm sure that it's fine. If you want to store water in it, "it depends." If it's kept upright, it'll be okay. If for some reason however, you want to lay it down while full of water, it'll almost certainly leak, which is due to several issue in its design. The mold used during manufacture leaves burrs, which the sealing O-ring has to seal, so maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Worse, the collar the lid screws into is a separate part and snaps onto the container's opening with its own O-ring. Unfortunately, the upper lip of the container often gets distorted when it's snapped on, wrecking the seal. At best, it leaks a little - or a lot. At worst, the defective seal allows pests through. Oh, and if you really tightened it, expect the collar to spin when trying to get the lid off... It's a real shame that the superior Curtec brand isn't distributed in the US.
